Product Description
Common use
Doxycycline is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic derived from tetracycline and used to treat many different bacterial infections, such as infections of urinary tract, acne, gonorrhea, chlamydiosis, periodontitis (gum disease), blemishes, bumps, and acne-like lesions caused by rosacea.
Dosage and directions
This medication should be taken after a meal with a big glass of water to decrease irritation of esophagus. Daily dose should be taken as a single dose or divided in two (12 hours between each one). Do not take it in larger amounts or continue to take it after the administered period. Certain brands of this medication cannot be used with dairy products. Do not crush, break, or open a delayed-release capsule, eat the pill whole. If it is an oral suspension shake it before use and measure with special measuring spoon. Never take this drug if it is expired as it may damage your kidney.
Precautions
Usage of Doxycycline during growth of teeth may result in their permanent color change. Infections caused by staphylococcus, Escherichia, Shigella, is possible only after sensibility to the medication is determined. Avoid exposure of your body to prolonged UV radiation during treatment and 4-5 days after it. If long treatment with this medication is prescribed a regular monitoring of peripheral blood cell content, liver function tests and determination of nitrogen and urea in serum.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Doxycycline and tetracyclines, pregnancy (second half of the term), breastfeeding, infancy (for children younger than 9 y.o.), leucopenia, porphyria, severe liver failure.
Possible side effect
Side effects caused by Doxycycline may appear as headache, dizziness, blurred vision, fever, chills, body aches, red skin rash, pale or yellowed skin, dark colored urine, severe pain in upper stomach, loss of appetite, jaundice, easy bruising or bleeding. Contact your doctor if you experience severe effects listed above.
Drug interaction
Co-administration with aluminum, magnesium, or calcium based antacids is not recommended as Doxycycline absorption maybe slowered. Minerals (such as calcium or iron) or with bismuth subsalicylate have the same effect. Doxycycline is reported to enhance the activity of warfarin. Phenytoin (Dilantin), carbamazepine (Tegretol), and barbiturates (such as phenobarbital) may enhance the metabolism of Doxycycline.
Missed dose
Never take a double dose of this medication. If it is almost time of the next dose just skip the missed portion and continue to take the medicine according to the schedule.
Overdose
In case of serious and persistent nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea consult your doctor.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 59-77 degrees F (15-25 degrees C) away from light and moisture, kids and pets. Do not use after expiration term.

Good day to all! I take Doxycycline when I get sick and only as the most extreme and effective measure (in cases of severe cold, ARD, flu, or problems with my gastrointestinal tract). But I do not take it for a long time. 1-2 days is quite enough (100-200 mg per day) to kill the infection.

My acne was under control, had just one minor breakout during this period. I also combined the treatment with proper skin care and adjusted my diet. Was taking Doxycycline 100 mg to treat pneumonia. It worked for me unlike erythromycin that I had been taking before. When I was started on Doxycycline 100 mg, my pneumonia had already been pretty bad. I felt better after just two days, it was great after trying this and that for so many days before feeling the relief! I had mild stomach upset first, and my doctor said I might have a yeast infection, but I was lucky.

My doctor first prescribed a different antibiotic to clear up my mastitis, but I had severe side effects and we have to look for an alternative. Doxycycline 100 mg became that alternative, and changing to this antibiotic was a great idea. I kept taking it as prescribed making sure I did not miss any doses, because that would have affected the effectiveness of the drug. The mastitis us gone now, I resumed breastfeeding and am trying to be extra careful now to avoid the same problem in future.

I'm taking Doxycycline 100 mg because I have an infection of the throat and lung. I am supposed to be taking this dose two times a day for a week, and I'm on my fourth day. So far it's been great, this is the only drug I'm taking, so there are no interactions or anything. I also did not notice any side effects and I do feel much better.

It's a great pharmacy if you are looking for high quality drugs that do not require a prescription. It's nice to know you can order even Doxycycline 100 mg without a prescription, no questions asked. I was prescribed 200 mg of this medicine, but since there were a few mild side effects, I was then switched to Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day. Essentially, it’s the same thing, but it was much better that way. My infection was gone after a week of treatment, the cough was gone after only three days. It works great, I'm glad I was started on this antibiotic.

I was prescribed the 50 mg dose first, but based on my tests the doctor then said Doxycycline 100 mg would be a better choice. I tolerated it very well,

Doxycycline 100 mg helped me treat a chlamydia infection. I tried another antibiotic before that, but it was not suitable for me or the type of bacteria, so it did not help at all. I self-prescribed Doxycycline 100 mg because I have the knowledge and the experience. I had bacterial bronchitis with all the symptoms (although I'd discourage everyone to self-diagnose unless you know what you are doing), so I purchased it online. Although I felt better after only a couple of days, I continued the treatment till I finished the medicine. The treatment was successful and I will be more careful in future to avoid bronchitis. As far as I know, this is a very efficient antibiotic. I was taking Doxycycline 100 mg for 10 days because I had acne and needed to do something about it. It did not respond to topical treatments I tried before, so my doctor suggested something a bit more radical. As the patient information leaflet explained, there could be light sensitivity. Thankfully, the weather was far from perfect, so I stayed in any way.
